Weather Conditions

Below you will find a subjective weather synopsis and how it relates to skiing.  This is general and will be updated on Wednesdays unless there are major changes forecast or happening which will impact skiing conditions.  If there is a major snowstorm it will be noted in breaking news.  The observations and forecasts will be left so you can see how accurate we are and also what the weather has been like so you can plan your trip and no what to expect.  Comments and notes concerning snow depth and temperatures will be in imperial units.  Altitudes will be mentioned in metric units.  There is a little conversion table below.  Also links have been provided to meteosuisse and meteofrance weather services which are updated at least once per day.

Weather:

The snowfall was excellent this year.  Although it is still snowing in the high country high's have been in the lower 70's and Lake Annecy in now warm enough to wade in.
